A Boy From Cape Cod

The Epic True Life Story of Tim Burns

Here are some reviews from authors, book reviewers and readers.

This first one is from B.W. Melvin, author of several books including "A Land Unknown - Hell's Dominion." It's a great book and I highly recommend it.

Excellent Feature Film Material

Seldom do you run across a book which could so easily be turned into a feature film. Tim Burns book, A Boy from Cape Cod, A Memoir is such a book. It covers one man's remarkable story as a successful business person working his way up the cooperate ladder with MCA in LA, meeting up with an individual involved with Anna Nicole Smith, then tells all about the fast pace LA lifestyle of the Music industry working as an executive in MCA's Universal Music Group division.

From the life of success and fast pace parties with Rock Stars to a plummet into the depths of darkness Tim Burns unabashedly tells how a life of drugs and alcohol brought him down to the lowest depths of the clandestine world of drug addicts, strippers, assorted creepy souls, and the occult.  A Boy from Cape Cod description of the LA underworld is graphic and so is the authors description of drug addiction so much so that his story reads like a modern confessional.

Mr. Burns encounters the occult world by having its dark forces unleashed against him and his wife. From here, Tim describes a spiritual awakening into the realties of the Christian message while escaping a terrifying plot that the dregs of society had planned for Tim and his wife's demise.  It is here that his memoir would make an excellent feature film. Tim Burns describes his awakening to the Christianity and how this changed his and his wife's life, restored to the Holy Catholic Faith; truly, a remarkable story about an extraordinary journey overcoming the evil of a dark and secret world.

Dear Tim,
I just finished your book.  You have lived quite a life.  I have to tell you, this is the first time I have EVER had a book reduce me to tears.  I found your experiences to be quite frightening, almost as frightening as Hostage To The Devil, which I see you have read.  That book changed my life, and that is the ONLY book I have ever read where I felt the need to wrap my Rosary around my neck while reading.  I grew up in San Francisco and I am quite familiar with Anton LeVey.  At first, he was quite a joke because he looked like something from a horror film, then we laughed because we found out he slept with a lion.  Good grief, that is the very thing the devil wants from us isn't it, to think he doesn't exist.

I can't begin to tell you how that touched my soul when I read that in your book.  God bless you Tim!

It is no accident that I somehow stumbled onto your video on YouTube, of all places.  I am going to pass your book onto my friends and family.

Your story is so very similar to Fr. Corapi's.  Father came to my church, St. Monica's on Mercer Island several years ago and I knew there was something very VERY special about him when I heard that unmistakable voice of his.  Then a few years after that my cable company finally brought us EWTN, and there he was!  He says exactly what the world needs to hear, doesn't he.  Fortunately, my son was with me at this Mass and has never forgotten Father.

My son, just FYI, is named after The Blessed Apostle, and Jesus's best friend.  There is a quote that I repeat over and over, it was an unnamed Bishop who said this to St. Monica's, St. Augustin's mother:  "Be comforted that your son is young and stubborn, but that God's time will come because the son of so many tears cannot possibly be lost"!

I don't believe in coincidences, so I do believe that your prayers will be particularly beneficial to John.
So, now that I have blabbed on and on, and made tears come into my eyes, I will sign off.  Please keep in touch Tim, and may God truly bless you, as he already has.  Thanks for coming into my life.  Val
